Spiked Chai started in Toronto with a simple idea: our parties deserved a game that actually sounded like us. The gossip, the aunty energy, the Bollywood dance-offs, the trivia only we would know.
But it was never only for Desi tables. We made it to play with everyone — Desi and non-Desi friends on the same couch — so the culture could be shared instead of explained. Every round landed the same way: the more we played, the more we realised how much we all have in common, and how huge, funny and varied Desi culture actually is.
After a year of designing and testing with friends, the deck launched in 2024 — 101 prompts made for Desi folks and friends, built to break the ice and keep the stories coming long after the last round.
